Title: Toshiba 37,40,42 inch lcd main board dead?

Hi guys used to quite like Tosh stuff but over the last 6 months had quite a few in stone dead, no standby light in fact, no nothing !  A replacement main board seems to cure it was wondering if anyone had info on it . Kinda sounds like eeprom corruption but thats strictly speculation! any info appreciated ta

Hi

Depends on the model! This fault can be cured with a firmware update on some models.

 I think your possibly right on newer models with USB support but I'm not sure if you can flash the older boards without at least getting them into standby ?

Hi,

Replacement flash eeproms are available, fully programmed, for some of the early models
