hi i have a panasonic tx-p42u10e which as the blinking 14 times ,i thinks its a A board problem , could someone no how to fix the problem with out paying out for a new A board , thanks
-
14 blinks is an audio SOS. You could try unplugging the speakers and see if it still give 14 blinks. Otherwise
feel the surface of the sound output chip with your finger. If it's extremely hot it'll be shorted.I've seen that chip. Good luck with changing it, and the price of a new A-Board will scare you off.

hi thanks for your reply , tried unpluging the speakers , still the same 14 binks , chip is not getting hot ,
-
If the tv launches straight into 14 blinks, it will not get time to get hot, as the set will be in protect mode.

thats true , so i cant tell if the chip as blown,,,,

just found out the panasonic 14 blink code means :IR LED SOS , can some one explain and how to fix many thanks
-
Where did you read/hear about that ? There is no error code for the IR receiver. You could try isolating the sound chip from its power source but you'll need a service manual and an excellent service technique and experience. BTW I have replaced the A-board for code 14.
