Title: remote not responding

hi

i have a tevion lcd4040

its not responding to the remote it works fine using the buttons on top. new remote also checked remote with camera. do you thing its the geranium man board at fault. reviver is getting 3.3v.

where is the remote contoling part in the board.

Are you sure it is the CORRECT remote, and identical to the original?
I had an AOC from the amenity site a few months ago. I tried four different "universal" remotes, but it would not listen to any of them, so I finally sent off for an AOC replacement. Correct model specified, but that did not work either. I found another supplier with a different looking remote, also for this model, and this one DID work. But you start to doubt yourself!

Its very likely to be an error in the eeprom start up files loads of " budget tv's " use this same mother board, the one I had in was badged NEON from Morrisons exactly the same fault as yours couldn't get an eeprom dump for it so ended up replacing the main board it's a cello main if I remember rightly

Hi,
I don't know if you've tried keeping the handset menu button pressed
for about 10 seconds to see if this unlocks the remote control functions,
some have this feature to child lock the handset.
