Hi , I have a hitachi 32LD30UB which has a a main board fault (short circuit). I have a 17mb35-1 main board from a Hitachi 32ld30ua smashed screen. Board numbers appear the same but when I use it in the faulty set it turns on the green led and then after a few seconds flashes red/green with no backlight. If I disconnect the tcon cable it will turn on with backlight and a plain black screen. I cannot get into the service menu to try a reset so would like to know if it is possible to rest the eeprom as I presume there is a software conflict between the screen & new main board? Any advice will be very gratefully received! Thanks in advance.

you could remove and use the eprom of the duff board
may be easier just to do a swap

Hi,
When you say the board numbers are the same, are these the
numbers on the white label. If the display types are the
same, could possibly be a problem with the control PCB, dragging down
one of the supplies.

Thanks for the responses, I would like to try swapping the eeproms as I've nothing to lose. Could you tell me the location of the eeprom chip on these boards? Thanks again

Hi, on this chassis the eeprom is labelled U103(24C32).if swapping it doesn't work try U132(MX26L512) which is the flash.
