hi guys anyone got an idea why my dvd recorder wont play it ejects discs so theres power going to it but the disc wont even spin to read
i can get a replacement dvd unit but dont wont to waste money incase its a power issue

this is not guesswork. i work for lg, when you close the drawer does the reading disk show on the tv screen,  because it doesnt even spin the disk i suspect not. if not it is the loading/unloading switches under the deck. this is a very common problem on all lg decks. the reason it ejects the disk is because the micro doesnt detect that the drawer is closed so the micro initiates eject to prevent any damage to the mech itself. i have the switches if you need to change them, the lasers do fail but it would attempt to read the disk but you would get nodisk or defective disk on the tv screen, let me know
