Hi all I have LG 50ps3000 plasma TV that has a pencil line from top to bottom of the screen almost in the middle of the screen not noticeable on white background appears blue on flesh tones - any help here please

hi, has this set got buffer boards at the bottom if so soldering the smd resistors can cure line faults. but i think it's a screen fault , hope i'm wrong

Doesn't every plasma, ever made have buffer boards at the bottom? Best stick to the day job I think :72: perhaps someone should check the caps then say its probably just the switch?

Rayblah, check if your set has 2 buffer boards running across the bottom of the set, if it doesn't, its worth a fortune :s_laugh:

Hey guys many thanks for your comments - lets not get things out of hand here all I want to do is fix a tv thats what I thought this site was about - anyways yes three buffer boards across the bottom screen removed the middle one as thats the nearest to the fault and checked very close for bad solder joints none found - should i try and get another board? - other than that Im thinking it must be a display panel fault - what do you think out there I appreciate your thoughts fellow technicians - wow thats a lot from me regards Ray
