Post by: bluesmoke on August 19, 2013,06:36:58
hi  I have a bush LT42M1CFA which has a weird problem .the tv is changing channels on its own ie the av menu box pops up and starts to scroll off the channel its on?
I thought it may be the mainboard so I got a replacement and for a while I thought it was ok but problem is back.i have removed the batteries from the remote any ideas? :41: :41:

If this tv has manual controls try isolating them and see if this stops the problem, i've seen this on a couple of different sets.
It's also branded has a Haier tv.

If it has a power button board on the side of the unit try disconnecting it

I had the same problem with a 32inch bush model it turned out in the end to be a dodgy cap on the power board! The link for my post is here:

The unit changed channel and switched itself on and off! The cap was a  220uf 35V it didn't look faulty but had a high esr
Good luck
