Title: Thomson 28" Scenium LCD.
Post by: Alastair E on August 24, 2013,15:15:10
This pretty old LCD set has a greenish picture--or rather a picture lacking in blue. (Looks a little like an old CRT set with a mis-set grey-scale or dodgy tube, --slightly pinkish whites and greenish low-lights....

The original fault was dead, but this was just caps in the PSU, so no problems getting it running. Ive heard that with age, the LCD panels in some older sets degrade due to the UV light from the backlight tubes--Any truth to this?

I'm sorry, I dont currently have the model-number of this set on me, but its similar to the 27 LDCB 03 type but will need some advice on how to enter its service-menus --if it has that facility!

Thanks.
