Post by: trevorsheppard on October 27, 2013,08:52:46
Hi, got one ofthese with washed out/flickering display. You can make out osg and menus when called up. Vs and Va voltages correct. Replaced 680/50 and 1000/10 electrolytics in psu. Any ideas appreciated.

Check your voltages at the Y and Z boards. Correct voltages for Vs and Ve will be on a sticker on the back of screen.

As the Vs and Va voltage at 192 and 60volts could it be the display is faulty?

Hi,
The FET's on the Y-Buffer's give trouble, check them for shorts,

Try the inbuilt test patterns....Disconnect the LVDS cable from the control (logic) board and place a short across the Auto Gen points P1 on the control board. If you get good clear test patterns on the screen it will eliminate basically everything except the main board.

If any of the FET's were short surely the tv would shut down? Will try that downunder  sounds like a good starting point
