Title: bush 42" plasma no screen
Post by: mali67 on November 05, 2013,05:23:09
Hi guys, i have a 42" bush plasma (pretty much a samsung)
when powered up the vs/va voltages jump to normal, then after a few seconds the voltage drops.
its the same on the control board , the vs-on drops off.

ive tried new ysus and buffer.

if i unplug the ribbon to the ysus the voltage stays on.

any ideas?

Have you checked the Z-sus it runs on the same voltages.

yes ive checked and double checked, i only have voltage when the y-sus is plugged in via the ribbon to the control board.
it dosnt matter if i have anything else plugged or unplugged in.

i have tried without buffer connected and have replaced the buffer, ysus, control, and psu, with the very same effect.

when ribbon is connected the green led on the control board flashes slowly, every 4 seconds ?, when disconnected the green led flashes away normally

Hi Mali67,

Don't know if it's a BPDP42HD2 (Sammy S42AXYB09) as you didn't clue us, but if so -

Seems these budget sets have a known screen problem history where original supplier seems quite helpful even after the first year - had a couple - and made the pound from a print-out  - Chris.
