I have this Baird X32LCD TV, understand it's similar to a Technosonic and comes under various names Sceptre X32 being one.
I have it 'Stuck in standby', powers up OK when I connect 5V to the 'Power ON' from the CPU, I'm wondering if the CPU crystal.
All is can see on the crystal is 14.?1818, the first number after the decimal point (100kHz) is not readable, there's a bit of a indent making the number unreadable.
I haven't 'scoped' it or used a frequency counter yet, looks as though it's been caught with a sharp object.
The main board is a Hair PY12038.......Q(V1-0.) 2006-12-26.
Power supply is Pihong PSM210-417AIR
When forced power up the voltages are good.... just that the 'ON' voltage is dormant.... how do you re-set these?
Thanks

It's a 14.31818 Mhz crystal and it's oscillating merrily away. Is there a reset for this?
Be a nice thing if manufacturers did what Grumpig used to do.... lob Sirkit inside the tellies. Ideas anyone apart from the deepest part of the Pacific?
