Title: LG flatron plasma

hi all just wondering if anyone can help....

got a LG flatron 42" plasma model number R242PX11 and there is no picture, got sound though...can anyone suggest what is wrong and if its goin to cost a fortune to repair or if possible to repair myself??

you need to replace the y sus, z sus, and ctrl board. i beleive ohms supply (whos contact details can be found on these forums)can get these for you.i did mine with these three bourds cost me £85 but now works perfect i think ohms supply are cheaper,as i got mine elsewhere before i heard of them

Not sure if erine is thinking this is a V7 panel?
PX11 is a V6 panel. Fault is usually YSUS or ZSUS, YSUS seems to be more common. Check fuses on these board & voltage Vs & Vy as per panel. If the voltage/s are missing remove power to YSUS or ZSUS and see if it comes up.

i was thinking of the v7 as that is what mine is and thats right you could get away with changing just the one board on the v6

I should of also said Lower YDRV board commonly faults, you can unplug this and see if it powers up too.
If its faulty, it's recommended to replace YSUS as well
