Hi all, I have a Technosonic LCD3251 (philips type) that is stuck in standby. I have read the other posts on the forum about this subject and it seems to be a fault with the 5v stanby ic. Is there anyone out there that can reprogram the ic or is there a kit available to repair?
Many Thanks for any help.

All of you please stop, i do these all day, i have sorted 3 of these out on line, free as well, post me your plug in eeprom, i will re program it for you, free. if u look at earlier posts u will see i made 3 people very happy. this is providing the set is actually stuck in standby and not dead.
sorry if i appear to be bragging, only trying to save u all time and money,

Hi Tony, I don't think the tv has a plug in type eeprom. Could you give me an idea of where it is on the board. Or a number.
Cheers

certainly, if u feel confident at removal as print is rather delicate around that area, also the pins tuck under the ic, we use a heat gun to remove and lots of care to replace, but it can be done, hope this helps

its in the post, your ic had some bad bytes on it, replaced it for you, best regards, tony

Hi Tony
One of these troublesome Tesco tellys has found its way to me..
I've checked the 12v and 5v lines ..
both are fine.
No signs of damage to the power board.
The set simply wont come out of standby...the led remains red.
Almost certainly corrupt eprom.
Can you help me out ?
