Title: Panasonic TH42PE30
Post by: norman on May 16, 2008,15:19:33
Hi, Does anyone have any knowledge of this tv. When you switch on sometimes it will work ok, other times the power comes up then the relays click and it goes back to standby, when it is like this it won't respond to the remote and you have to switch it off and try again. I have checked the power supply and can't find anything wrong, I have also tried disconecting varies panels to try and isolate the fault. Any suggestions? Thanks Norman. :wallbash:

Sounds like subsitution is going to be the only way to find out, as with most of this stuff.
My guess is Power supply or DG board, but only a guess. If power supply I would think problem is in low volt (to uPC), so you could monitor 5v & 3.3v lines and look for noise etc.

Best of luck

Thanks for the reply,I think the power supply is ok, I have monitored the voltages when working normally and when faulty and all the supplies are coming up ok. Unfortunately I have no panels to try in this set which is one of the problems  when you are a one man band repair outfit. Thanks for the suggestions, I will have to persevere with this one.
