This set wont turn on after being unplugged. Customer says that if its left for a long while, eventually the red light will come on then set can be turned on. According to google its a common enough fault but no solution. Caps look ok and putting a hairdryer on pwr board made no difference. Thanks
EDIT Jordans solution worked. IC from CHS

Hi, I have the same set that came in today, customer said it was disconnected from the wall socket but when plugged back in there was no standby light, the set was dead, he left it for a day and the same, I checked the power supply board but all fuses are good, caps good and the rectifier sc output good, could the same ic u203 cause this fault.
Thank you

Thank you again mate, I have put in an order for the ic now waiting to get it, I cleaned the board thoroughly and re flowed it with a heat gun, and when I tried it , it came on standby, I pressed the power button, i heard a Tak like sound and the light turned green, but no screen, from there on when I plug it the led goes green straight, no red light, and blinks about 3 times and stays green, but the screen does not come on.
I have checked the board and seen no burnt or leaked caps. any more sugesrions please.
thank you

In all cases on Panasonics, where the tv stays on with the green LED but no pix is produced, it's always been the A-Board......OUCH.
