Title: Sony KDL-32V4000 schematic
Post by: In_Focus on April 25, 2014,05:39:50
Hi all,

Can anyone assist with schematics for a KDL-32V4000? The set appears totally dead, no sign of any secondary supplies from the PSU not even a standby supply.

EDIT D6104 type R2F is S/C, any suggestions for an equivalent?

Thanks

John.

Hi folks,

Same set, different problem.

Set comes on with a dull picture and no sound - Background hiss comes and goes with Vol OSG so suspect it's a SSB issue.

Noticed that this model has more than one screen fitted - This one's a Sharp.

Several on Ebay where screen isn't specified, so wonder if the same SSB is used for all screen makes with maybe just Eeprom software to sort the differences ?

Any thoughts ? - Thanks - Chris.

Hi Chris,

You could try the Service Diagnostic Menu but if it's not generating an error code, the fault is probably not logged.

It does sound like a duff main board. This set should have AV-OUT. Check the picture on a monitor. If bad, it's the SSB.

I do believe the software for various panels is stored in the eeprom, so matched part number is essential. - Bruce

Hi Bruce and thanks,

Didn't mention, but one time the set cut to s/by with 3 flashes, never did it again (DC error it seems)

Also when the set first comes on, highly distorted sound is present, but after a few seconds sound goes with just background noise.

Might then be a matter of reading the Eeprom and transferring to the replacement board if it doesn't function correctly ?

Later - SSB from Ebay - OK
Thanks again - Chris.
