did it cure the fault ?

Hi Sparky,
Noted that folks didn't give any details of boards, or who made them.
Would give us a clue, guess not Vestel or even genuine LG - Makes mending fun - Chris

One step at a time everyone, correct grammar and legible posts would aid us, 7/10, see me!

Amazing amount of folks who dont give repair details..makes you wonder if they ever fix anything. This site would be great if fault details were given or posters banned for asking but not giving..and on that point a big thankyou to Jordan who has an encyclopedic knowledge of faults

I feel very honoured by Mulja to be upgraded to admin, I think it would be hard to implement this without upsetting people. An excellent idea though, and I agree with you, Jordan is a great asset to the site. A few on here glean whatever information they can but seem hesitant to put anything back in. I could be cutting and say that's the way of some of the human race, meant light-heartedly!!!!

I put my fare share of faults in database..havnt allway got the time, cause I'm a full time foster carer.plus I'm not the only one on here...I do my best, when I got time..Thanx Chris jones

Yes of course you do Chris, I'm sure this has been a generalisation, certainly not targeted to individuals. This job is hard enough as it is any I'm sure that posters do their best.

I am glad if someone can help you even more, I am happy if I get feedback. :sign0098: :08: :051bye:

Hi Jordan,
Thanks, you've helped me many a time with obscure problems, even if you natch can't always suss English humour.
Still have the thought that folks should bother remove the back before asking advice, as so many sets use common panels, and basic info is useful.
I tend to report success and also failure, where knowing folks help try sort my problems.
As a thought, there used to be a section in 'Radio Constructor' where Smithy and Dick sorted problems, and Smithy always sorted everything that Dick couldn't quite manage. Mind you, was a while ago, and neither Wireless World nor Camm's comics had anything similar.
Perhaps a new section in Quuq - Mr Fails diary, perhaps - Chris.
PS - Not yet spell checked nor honoured by anyone, guess an advantage.

Very eloquently put for a humble Turnip. Perhaps you could join Mr Fail on Twitter, where Tricky Dicky is only mentioned in hushed tones in dark corners. And congrats to Tony for joining the revered ranks of Admin, and Herr Jordan for his bottomless pit of knowledge. I too, find it irritating about the lack of detail in describing faults, and the absence of any diagnostics or feedback on outcomes. Surely this is natch rudimentary politeness. Are we supposed to be tea-leave readers.

Hi Bruce,
Well, of course as we weren't shipped to the Antipodies for stealing sheep.
Don't suspect any Aussie could ever be considered as a hero on Quuq.
TV Tony is suspected of using English, but of a sort some thoughtful folks don't quite comprehend.
