Hi folks,
Have one of these in where a DVB channel OSG screen in indicated - but no actual programme - Also channel can't be changed by RCU or TV.
Into the main menu and DVB re-tune option is shown as not available, but switching to Analogue - OK, where natch' it finds nothing.
Tried 'plug and play' is just does Analogue with not a sniff of anything digital'
Thought it might be a matter of pressing 'menu' on TV, where perhaps the DVB search option might open up - it doesn't - Any thoughts ? - Thanks - Chris.

Hi Chris,
Can understand it not changing channels if there is no existing channel for it to go to.
No silver bullet, but some Samsungs had a [D.MENU] button on the remote (DTV MENU).
Twas the only way to access digital tuning other than "Plug and Play".....the RCA Plugs icon in the user
menu.
Otherwise, you're on your Pat Malone.......Bruce.

Hi Bruce, and thanks,
RCU has the button you mention, so pressed it - totally ignored.
RCU is a new one as thought the old one duff - Ah well, thanks again - Chris.
Surprisingly set came on this morning on it's one channel - great picture and sound. Other thing is that the OSG is stuck on, and can't be turned off - Have an Eeprom feeling.
Think I need a bin or a dump - Plasma always give me those basic excretion based options.

Chris,
Another button marked A/D or something of that ilk switches from ATV to DTV, then press D.MENU to access digital tuning. May save it yet. Bruce

Hi Bruce,
You have a good memory - tried that (many times)
Think hang on to the set as it mostly works, as most Plasma usually don't.
Haven't yet taken the back off to check panels, as there are currently none about on the Flea, but guess as it's an oldie, maybe a DVB board with a corrupt Eeprom.
Guess can't win 'em all the same day - Thanks again - Chris.

Hi Chris,
A factory reset, maybe. It's not an analogue only tv, is it? Either way, you might have to trot down to Oil Drum Road and see if Harold's got a set top box. Don't forget the hay for the 'orse.

Hi Bruce and thanks,
Eventually took the back off and noticed I had a spare BN94-00891A DVB board in the Sammy plasma bin from a screen smash some years ago - Did the job.
Was a bit thrown by the DNLe OSG that wouldn't go away 'till I read what it was and turned it off in video menu.
No need for 'arold and the 'orse this time - Chris.
