Hi Sam,

Possibly corrupt data in the eeprom. A reset doesn't always restore all the options. Don't have an options list for that model, but if you can get hold of the service manual, it should give you the correct options for your TV. Was it the reset in the service mode that you performed? If not, I'd give that a try first. First page of the service menu, I believe.

Hi Samisat,

Had a few in recently where oldies couldn't hack new stuff. Seem to have troubles where DVB updates went past a hundred and a few. and old stuff couldn't sort them, anyway.

Out of interest - tried plug aerial in after early crap Ch 42 East Anglia channels were not installed - not helpful, guess dump - Chris

Well Sam, only two options.....replace tuner or replace main board. Must admit, I don't understand tuners that are no bigger than my thumbnail and removing tuners from double-sided print is always hairy and scary.
And it may not sort your problem. I'd go main board. Wonder if Steptoe and son ever went on line.....might get a cheap 'orse.         Bruce

Hi Bruce,
Have had several in recently where they can't hack additional channels. Have tried replacement boards from the Flea and found them even worse.

Suspect over-air-downloads are at the least a bit dubious as manufacturing folks don't care a shit - On with the next model.

Don't have trouble with tuners, as once you've sorted a modern Ipod, miniscule is the biz - Chris

Good outcome, Sami. Main board was best option.        Bruce.
