hi can any1 help me ive got a maxim 1157 lcd tv ive just replaced the kit that always go on these sets now when i power the tv up the red standby light just flashes red and the screen backlight flashes but the set will not start up any help would be great the power supply is simliar to the bush idlcdtv006 the board number on my power supply is 04ta069i

Try C330 1000uf on the +5V main supply.

hi michelle ive just tryd c330 1000uf but its still the same ive put a new repair kit in the psu a new tr20 and changed a good few caps but all i get is the red standby light flashing red with 1 green light and the screen flickers like its tripping have you any more suggestions thanks

Attached is the closest map there is for the cct.
You need to check your supply lines and see if any of them are down, usually when the +5v main is low the TV can't switch on.
It has been known for the supply to dissappear from the main board too sometimes.

Hello Everyone,
If the C330 1000uFd cap is of the 6VDC working voltage type, you may need to replace it with an EXTRA LOW ESR unit. This is a manufacturers' requirement for a number of TV's, such as those marketed by the British, BUSH brand, et cetera.
Note that an ORDINARY replacement cap WILL WORK INITIALLY but won't last very long before failing again.

I found a defect capacitor near to C330 for 5V Standby, 1000uF/25V; after changing, TV is running again.

i also have this problem, i have check all the caps on secondary side but they all read ok, have had q300 which is in the kit cause the same problem when it goes leaky but its not this time, any one have any other ideas???.
