Hi Gobby,

Note you didn't mention the model number. Set looks a bit old so wonder if an AS15-X is fitted to the T-con.

Just a thought, as Jordan is nearly always right, and solarisation is usually T-con biz on most sets - Chris.

Hi Gobby,

It's a Profilo Telra, and they were ghastly - Surprised it lasted so long, as they were horrid, esp in the Power supply area, as caps drooled everywhere and shorted most everything.

Guess you've done well for so long but suggest bin it - Chris.

Looks like a fault I had with a SammySung telly, but mine was really 'whitewashed out' and turned out to be the Tcon board......

I found from a friend that Emos TV's can repair the Tcon if you don't want to attempt SMD 'chip pulling', the charged was around £30 inc p&p with next day delivery - they also supply them, same with any other boards, simply send the board to them.

Here's the link for anyone interested http://www.lcd-plasma-parts.co.uk/ (http://www.lcd-plasma-parts.co.uk/) Should you take this route be sure the board you are sending is the problem.

Hi Gobby,

You still didn't note if T-Con has AS15 - X Fitted.

Otherwise could be quite different job with perhaps a Main board problem - Chris.
