Post by: t1412 on February 07, 2015,08:31:30
afternoon fella's, strange fault, had a samsung come in yesterday, it's a le26r73bd,  switch on it come on ok then switched it off moved it to the  bench plugged the aerial in, then the tv switched off flashing standby  the started cycling on sometimes  with snow then picture break up like a bad signal then back to flashing standby, did find 2 swollen caps in the psu changed them all voltages are ok, if you have anything connected it goes off would the tuner cause this fault or the mainboard it's self thanks for your time

Hi Shaun,

Most likely scenario is that the eeprom has become corrupted by the smps failure. You could try

to reinitialize the eeprom by the "shorting out pins 5 and 6" method or replace the eeprom. The

reinitialize method has always worked for me bar once.

Mute 182 might reset it.
