Perhaps you can try this:
Blocking the SDA or SCL lines on the eeprom will disable communication by the chip.
Connect eeprom VCC to SDA line. It wont hurt it as the SDA normally idles at VCC.
Power the tv on for 20 seconds. It will try to read (the wrong) settings and start with defaults.
Then releasing the SDA line and shutting the tv off will update eeprom settings with null values
that will allow the tv to boot with.
Only do this if you have the service mode option values - usually given in the service manual.

Hi downunder, i ve done that too and no result, it seems the eeprom is not communicating with the Cpu directly because after connecting pin 5 or 6 of the eeprom to Gnd, and switch tv on for 20 sec. and you released the pins from Gnd the set ll not restart itself, it ll come on as if nothing has happen to the eeprom.
still i need :sign0085:

Well, you got me there, jagbo. Not sure that these have a Hotel Mode. There is a "Hotel" option in the
Option Table in the Service Menu, but I think it's dormant.....I've never been able to activate or deactivate
it. Seems to be more for decoration than use. Bruce

Too True Bruce,
Would mention a punctuation error, but Antipodeans get straight to the biz, no messing. Twill is something quite different, and revered in Norfolk for binding needy stuff - Chris.
