Title: Humax LU26-TD1 - Error code E-AC.
Post by: Turnip on March 04, 2015,10:00:19
Hi folks,

Have one that's been working OK for a while, then today Error code E-AC popped up at switch on. Turned it off then on again getting a bright white screen with no graphics.

First thought T-con fuse, but of course it can't be, as wouldn't have seen E-AC.

Any thoughts ? - Thanks - Chris.

Hi Dave, and thanks.

Feel set is too old to get serious about, although pretty good when it works. Jordan sorted me on a main board 'flickering picture' problem with a couple of small caps, but got spare main and DVB boards from the Flea, as they were pretty cheap, so guess will swap them over, although the Flea DVB board can't handle many channels, rather fewer than the original board did, and that one couldn't store the lot.

Only use as a test set replacing an old 17MB22-2 Analogue Vestel that died of it's main board a few days ago, as MB22-2s' frequently now do - Thanks again - Chris.

Later - Replacement DVB board, sorted the problem. Thought to try Humax for a firmware update, but seems 'No product exists'. Noticed that Flea mentions 2014 updated sets for sale, somehow.

I always thought Humax was pretty decent stuff.... the Humax error codes might come in handy some time thus the link.

Cheers, happy repairing.
