Hi folks,
Have one in where set fires up normally - backlight comes on but no picture, then after a few seconds set cuts to s/by. 17PW25-4 and 17MB62-2.6.
Any thoughts ? Thanks - Chris.

The 17MB6X boards are not Vestels best!
These suffer with firmware problems, and it is set specific, so not easy to track down!
If you phone Toshiba and they know of firmware issues they will send you a USB stick with new firmware, if they actually have it that is!!

Thanks Keith,
Vestel certainly keep us busy - Guess you're right, but for a starter have gone for a Wiltsgrove 17PW as it's always useful to have one or two about as you can't trust 'em even if they haven't popped.
Failing that, will do as you suggest, but suspect not being accredited, might just get the elbow rather than a USB update and a free stick.
Have a few others that do daft things, but they're mainly 'Bush', and all from 'Argos', if that's significant.
Many thanks - Chris.

Chris, Make sure you get the correct PSU as there are 2 versions, one is 5V and the other 3.3V

Thanks Keith,
New P/S did the job. Thanks for the Toshiba info, thought while it was apart to read the Eeprom - Chris.
Later - Just realised the first bin was rubbish, so deleted - must have had the board upside down - sorry.
Also checked P/S voltages with the working panel for the next time.
