My tv has a problem with resistor 1.8 ohm in psu keeps blowing

Suspect the input PFC FET is S/C and drive chip probably duff (without any more info) Had it been the bridge rectifier the mains fuse would have blown.

Thanks turnip, I will try, yes if the main fuse is blown I suspect the bridge rectifier, but this is the resistor, maybe a diode or transistor that drive the relay.

I was reading the pdf, but no schematic diagram. Thanks Jordan. I bought the same pdf, bought lcd/led repair tips on eBay. No idea about this 1.8 ohm resistor

Cheap Toshiba mostly Vestel. Might be useful if you give panel details, as Toshiba doesn't seem to in the download for some reason - Chris.
