Hi all,
I'm new here without much knowledge of all this stuff but from looking at google I seem to have traced the fault on our Luxor TV to the PSU.
Anyway to start at the beginning, it's a 40" Luxor LCD TV that just has a flashing standby light & won't get any further. Googling the model number (which I've forgot, sorry) suggested it was a Vestel, which I confirmed when I opened it. The PSU is a 17PW25-6 V3, the numbers on the barcode are 26785776 645.
Any idiots guides on here I can follow to test it all? I've got a multi-meter & know how to test a diode, that's the limit of my knowledge. I can't test a cap for example.
I was thinking of buying a replacement PSU at £30 off ebay, but I like to fix stuff if possible so I'm coming to you all for help.
Thanks in advance.

Thanks for PSU type but full model number required. But there is every probability its the F\W. I have various sources of Vestel F\W but please post a pic of the main board stickers. There is a procedure via USB on most sets and once I have details I will search my databases.
