Hi
Whats it used in?
Eeproms rarely fail nowadays, you can usually erase them and reprogram.
Little Diode may have some

Hi Keith,
Eeprom/Flash fail all the time, especially in Cheapies and Samsung after PS cap problems.
Agree 'Ohms' provide a good service at £15 a pop, but surprised that Vestel who supply some manuals are unable to sort 'bin' downloads for anything at all.
Gather we are fortunate in Europe - In the Antipodes, crap sets all come from China, where no information of any kind is available - Chris.

Hi Chris,
The actual eeprom itself doesn't fail, it is only the data that becomes corrupt. They can be erased and reprogrammed. I have never had to replace one, just reprogrammed. The only eeproms I have had to replace were used in old Philips car radios, 24c01 eeproms, where they wouldn't remember stored FM channels due to faulty cells.
Shaun,
If it's a Samsung r87/88 type, a 24C64 can be used as only a small amount of memory is actually used ( I've not done this but other engineers I know have). If you fit a blank one, when the set is powered up default data is programmed into the eeprom. You will need to check that the screen type and main board type are correct for your set in service mode, as different screens and main boards are used.
If you have an eeprom programmer just erase the original eeprom and then power up the set and check settings as above.
If you have a programmer, let me know the TV model and I will see if I have a .bin file for it.

Thanks Keith,
I don't doubt that you're right, it's just a matter of getting the correct dump, which is where the problem exists, as most 'makers' without a real name don't care to supply them.
Most of my duff stuff is hanging about for Eeprom bins - Vestel and Chinese stuff, where try copy when a good one comes along - Trouble is, they mostly come with Eeprom corruption.
Must try only handle decent sets, but there aren't so many about these days, as Vestel and the Chinese do it cheaper - Chris.

usually fitting a blank eeprom will cure any problems with samsung eeproms, about £2 on fleabay
