Hi Davy,

I think you still have a SC board (Y-SUS) or SN board (Y-SUS with buffer boards) problem. Code 6 is listed as a SC board failure. SC can commonly cause codes 4, 5, 6 or 7, even code 10.

I've never attempted a SC repair, but I've heard of some techs having success, others bombing out with instant failure. If you disconnect SC from the PSU (connector SC2 from memory) and turn the tv on, it'll either turn on and stay on (solid green standby LED),
or go to code 7 if it detects the absence of the SC. Either way, by isolating SC you have achieved a different SOS status, which should point the finger at the SC board.

AS a precaution, inspect the screen surface in good light for dead pixels or screen defects. Was a time when I would blindly replace an SC board and that was that, but now I hear that more and more they're failing straight off due to panel failure.
