HI ALL HAVE THIS Vestel 32"model DLED32165 it has a 17ips11 power board and 17mb95s-1 main board no picture ,thought it was the led strips but there is only 27volts on the supply to the leds and it wont light up tryed a different power board but still same, any suggestions welcome

Hi
one of led faulty on stripe board, take screen on part and check each led by connecting 3v power supply to each led find faulty one and replace
power will be 27v with out load

You'll also find that if you test each LED with a DMM set to "diode mode", your meter will supply enough volts to light good LEDs.

Hi Bruce,
Nice one, still using the AVO 8 with 1.5 volts, must get modern but enjoy the swing of the needle as it indicates more than a DMM can in some situations.
Thanks for another needy 'Heads Up' - Will try get modern - Chris.

Hi Chris,
No, stick with the analogue meter, m8. My DMM rarely ever comes out. I find they sometimes tell porkies. Good for some applications though, like testing LEDs.

Surely a 30v power supply is easier, testing each individual LED means removing the cap then resticking it...and anyway Ive still not mastered removing one to replace with another. Any video available? Most strips light up with the faulty LEDs extinguished

Hi Sinclair,
Some folks use sharpened probes and suss each led on the string, for strings O/C
Use a P/S myself where max current limited 200 M/A where good strings are sorted and S/C leds give themselves away.
With O/C led strips, check with probes or note burn areas - Chris.
