Title: Toshiba RD-XV45 - Funai Deck.

Hi folks,

Have one in where cust broke the drive peg RHS cassette lift. Managed fix peg with a screw, but now on inserting a cassette machine plays for maybe 5 seconds with a fair picture, then cuts to s/by.

Tried FF/Rew - No problems so wondering. I remember these decks suffer from an issue where the central IR plastic lens thingy gets dirty and the IR receiver cant see pulses through the slotted gear on the reel drive, also the position of the tape sensors are important, as are mounted on vertical PCBs that can move about a bit on servicing.

Any thoughts ? - Chris.

Thought to take a couple of pictures of D555 - On and Off - Chris.

Later thought to squirt the mode switch - Didn't help this time.
