Title: Sony CFD-S36L - Portable Radio/Cass/CD

Hi Folks,

Have one in where FM radio works normally, Cassette functions but with a very loud mains hum on playback and the CD doesn't work at all.

Suspect it's a supply problem - Wonder if it's a common one ? - Thanks - Chris.

Hi Jordan, and many thanks.

Would go for the CD spindle motor, but have an issue with a loud mains hum on cassette playback, and feel there is a supply problem as the CD spindle motor wouldn't be energised with just the cassette in use.

Thanks for the service manual - Will go check supply voltages - Chris.
