Hi guys, Good morning. This old LCD was working fine all over the year but when I switched on this morning all I can see only front blue LED is flashing. Looks like its stuck on standby. I ESR all the caps and seems ok. Any suggestion please. Regards

Hi Harvey,
Flashing Led on a Vestel usually indicates a main board failure of some kind. Could possibly be a short circuit on DC supplies, but usually it's firmware corruption requiring a replacement board as you can't USB update a board on a set that doesn't go - Chris.

Hi harvey,
Just realised the power board uses an inverter transformer to drive the screen tubes. Tranny goes S/C turns so set won't start. Gather original small transformer is unavailable, but the later one with dual outputs might still be.
If it's the dual output one, check the secondary resistances with an accurate meter, where any difference between them indicates a duff tranny - Chris.

Thanks Turnip for the suggestion. I will have a go at the Tranny if I could find the shorted turns. Regards
