Hi John,

Would be interested in a more detailed description when it lobs up. An error code if any.

Well its landed Bruce,From what I can see no error codes!Plug in switch on the word Panasonic appears across middle of screen,if you push vol + or minus you green led flicker until you release button as per normal. If you select TV Menu or stand by green led just flashes continuously ,set will not return to st-by by instruction from either r/c or buttons on TV.
Power supply rails such as 24 volt spot on
16 volt 15.6
5.3 volt 5.1
3.3 volts on signal board spot on.
usb 5 volt signals board spot on.
Most of the time just sits in limbo land with back lights running sometimes info comes up on screen like menu or av modes.
very odd,first 4k set I've seen.

I've switched it on this morning & just left it to do its own thing. At times it comes up on home screen,it will obey a remote command although very, very slowly & for the first time I've seen a red st-by light.

Well, I'm not sure that I'm gonna be your saviour. First impressions are a faulty main board, but it seems to be doing mostly what it's supposed to.

Possibly the Frame Rate (FR) board or T-Con. I've uploaded service manual for TH-65AX900A which may have similarities to your model. It has a panel

test mode which might help isolate it. I've done a lot of Panasonic but not their smart-a@s# sets. My brain keeps wandering back to the main board but

I had similar problems with a Fidelity tv last week where the online seller sent me a main and power supply board. My job was simply to go out and fit

them to the offending tv, but neither board fixed it. Guess they were punting that would do the trick. It had solid backlights and the picture (osd) would

flash rapidly on and off and sometimes come on. At first I had to connect it to a second power point because I wasn't sure it was getting power as I

couldn't see a standby LED. Problem still unresolved and customer p!$$@d off.                 Bruce

Hi Bruce,I'm thinking that its a ssb problem,I've disconnected the upscaler & T-con boards from the ssb & it still acts the same.If left to do its own thing eventually you get both sound & picture out of it,but still very slow to respond to r/c wont st-by & if you turn volume up or down the graphic moves followed by the  actual sound level sometime later.I'd love to update firmware but if it trips half way through updating could spell trouble.

Yep, that more or less condemns the A-board (main or ssb). These are notoriously expensive.....off to fleabay I guess.       Bruce
