Hi guy's,never repaired any Pioneer Plasma's,this one belongs to a good friend .He tells me that the set switches on & works fine, but if switched off when hot, will not power back on. I've asked him to check for a blue light blink code, which will then give me a clue. I've read on the internet(I know, don't believe a word it say's) but there's more than one post about 8 flashes & a regulator on the AV signals board. Can anyone shed any light on this or is it rubbish?
Many thanks John.

Hi bonesy,
It' a fact but I don't know if it's in your model, and it usually produces error 8. 3.3V input - 1.8V out. It's your symptoms to a tee, though. Freeze should get it going again and heat will cause it to fail.

Ah, good find, bonesy. Good that you can source them locally. Good luck with it because Pioneer boards require that you take out a second mortgage.
Reminds me of the Sony RDR-HXD720_760 that would hang up on "Welcome". Was a similar 1.1V regulator. Bruce
