Title: Labgear HDSR260 - P/S issue.

Hi folks,

Got one in where the chopper chip SW253G has gone S/C blowing the mains fuse plus a few other SMD bits.

Have another good one to compare but the SW253G seems unavailable in the UK, Ebay only coming up with TNY253G which seems rather different though having 8 pins.

Wonder if anyone has had the problem ? - Chris.

Cheap as chips (excuse the pun). And a 3 week wait, I suspect.

Found that site where the chips were as cheap as chips - Minimum Qty 10.

More used to Ebay where you have some idea as to the actual cost inc extras.

Recall a long while ago ordering 'heat shrink sleeving' from RS components as wanted a bit 2 inches long but got enough to sleeve half way to the moon, as had an account at the time. Recall it was £200 in 1975 prices - Suspect it's still about somewhere - Chris.

10th October 2017 - Chips arrived today and box sorted. Mention as have 9 spares and if anyone wants a SW253G within a few days - Let me know - £2.00 inclusive to the UK.
