Title: 17ips20 no back light voltage
Post by: bonesy on November 08, 2017,08:34:08
Hi guy's,has anyone had a fault with no supply voltage at connector for back lights? there is voltage at supply diode which goes down after a few seconds, but nothing at the connector to screen. I've noticed that there are repair kits available for this fault on e-bay,very cheap .But they also seem to say, that psu may have failed due to some sort of goo across lighting connections!
I wondered if anyone else has had this, used a kit & cured fault? or if as suggested may be caused by the strip connections being poor.

Silly old man, always triple check, yes voltage on supply diode, for some reason lacquer on pins of back light plug socket, voltage rises from around 120 up to 190 plus volts & dies back,so most likely duff LED's.
