Title: Panasonic update issue.
Post by: Turnip on March 07, 2018,09:50:34
Hi folks,

Just had three TX-L32/37E3Bs and a TX-P50X50B in for the issue where an over air update has maybe zonked them giving a flashing Green Led and nothing else.

Seems holding in S/by switch and holding in another on the set (Seems to vary a bit) for a few seconds, normality is resumed. Turned off 'updates' as someone suggested - Bit of an earner in these hard times - Chris.

Hi

Over the air updates will cease from 30th April, so no problems with this type of set. Newer sets with internet connections will get updates via the web, so lots more problems there!!!!

Nice one Keith,

Like the idea of mending sets without needing take the back off, especially when they come in droves - Chris.

Hi Bruce,

Had yet another one in a day or two ago, even though seems over air updates ceased end of April this year. Strangest thing is after the bulletin is followed, one way or another. Led sets seem OK, but plasma can come back time and again for the same problem where custs insist they're switched off overnight.

Some aged folks have even donated rather nice plasma sets, where back at the ranch we find no problems.

Guess Yoof rules - Chris.
