Title: Panasonic DMR-EZ49V - VHS Drum.
Post by: Turnip on June 15, 2018,12:08:12
Hi folks,

Have one where the drum is worn out. Nothing about, even Wiltsgrove doesn't mention, though must be popular with old folks who don't feel re-recordable DVDs are the biz, as they're truly crap.

Have chucked out quite a few earlier machines with other issues - DVD loader, DVB board, duff caps which popped drive chips.

Never held on to the drums so not sure if compatible, as the 49V isn't quite a Panasonic VCR, just cheap, used in all budget makes - Chris.

Hi 'Cat'

Thanks - Sadly my customers want change from a fiver, always did. Realising this I spent time every day at the local council tip with other folks with string around mac. Brought home heaps of LCD sets in case the spares might be useful, where they mostly weren't as time moves on and fashion rules, even in Norfolk.

The council tip closed a few years ago, but we can still tip if we care to pay, though the private site doesn't charge for copper or lead. Still have a free council site some miles away in a local town, but you can't buy anything - Seen some tasty stuff in the telly bins, but cameras are watching all the time.

Thinking of LED backlight sets where folks dump 'em as the big boys don't care to replace Leds - No money in it. Means of course there are heaps of such sets dumped with a perfect screen but duff backlights. Never see such a screen on Ebay for anything bigger than a lap-top.

Wonder where they go ? - Admit tip folks aren't exactly gentle, though helpful - Chris.
