Title: Neff Induction cooker top.
Post by: Turnip on October 02, 2018,11:53:11
Got one in where the RH plates indicate fault code 'E0' where LH plates work normally.

Seems 'E0' indicates a fault where a Neff technician should be consulted.

Just wonder if anyone has sorted this issue - Chris.

Hi 'Cat'

Sounds a bit like a Y-Sus jobby where those IGFETS go S/C. Mind you, impressed as has a power rating of 7.5KW in total, rather more than the usual plasma.

Guess wait 'till cust buys another, then tear it apart. Amusingly cust bought a ceramic top halogen hob, but wife couldn't hack the cooling fans, as the induction hob has just one small one which comes on rarely due to efficiency - Chris.

Thanks 'Cat'

Will let you know how I do - Chris.

Later - Took it apart finding the 4 IGBTs OK, caps reading correct values and no sign of any dries. Looked about on line, and found this by a White goods serviceman after reading his 'Neff' service manual - Not exactly helpful but.

Error code (F0)  - There is no connection between the TC and the ELIN/relay board and the ELIN.
Try –
Disconnect cook top from power

Check the TCELIN/relay board ELIN connection, if the failure continues, change the ELIN PCB.
LIN protocol (local interconnect network)

Basically, you need to unplug or isolate the unit from the electricity supply.

Open the hob up and check the cables connecting the boards together. (Unplug them and plug them in again) Check for burnt connectors or PCB, if OK reassemble and try again. If still faulty you need change the main pcb.

Guess not component level repair advice.

In the event found a burned O/C 15R(S) in the low voltage supply on the ELIN board - Sorted.
