Title: Sony BDV-E190 Cinema - Please Wait.
Post by: Turnip on January 29, 2019,09:55:05
Have one in stuck in 'Please Wait'

Folks on line offer button pressing advice which naturally doesn't work. Chap on YouTube feels it's an unspecified SMD cap on the 'Main board' - Not so helpful.

Wonder if anyone has sorted the issue  ?  Thanks - Chris.

Don't know on that model, Chris - obviously can't complete a full check of the antipodes before it gets the go-ahead to turn on.

If it's any help (perhaps not), I'll upload the service manual to quuq.                   Bruce

Thanks Bruce,

Seems it's a fave issue with that model. Note there are Sony customer sites, where Sony says not a useful word. Thanks for the manual, will peruse.

Had a sort of Panasonic feeling where after 'Please Wait' an error code mostly pops up. Note Sony doesn't go for error codes, comprehensive manual though - Chris.

Nice one 'Cat'

Seems to line up with the chap on YouTube who mentioned a cap was suspect, but he couldn't quite recall which.

On to it - Many thanks - Chris.
