I had the above set with standby LED flashing. I changed both boards to no avail. With no ideas left I stripped the screen to remove strips.1 LED had a burn mark (6v) so I changed it but then rebuilt set. That was the fault. First time Ive had a single LED shutting down the set.

I LED out, yes odd, been in the trade a long time and encountered a multitude of LED\LCD faults but that one would have thrown me. I have had repairs in with a number of lamps failed, both o\c and s\c. But your symptoms were unique.

I've dismantled many a panel on suspicion of faulty LEDs, usually 2 or more LEDs out. Hence, they call me the panel beater at work.Guess it depends on the sensitivity of the LED current sensing circuit.
