Hi All, I have a customer with LG 39LN540V where the Satellite reception has stop after a Thunder storm. Have already replaced Satellite Dish as that was falling apart. Working with a Freesat Box at the moment. Just would like to fix TV, it finds nothing on 28.2 degrees on various Transponders. Was wondering if anyone knows where I may download Service Manual. I'm sure it's just popped a circuit protecter or the tuner has fried. Thanks

If Freesat is functioning how on earh can your tuner be goosed?

Hi Mark,
As it's an LG and famous for BGA issues giving no HDMI function or 'Life's Good' but no picture, why not cook the SSB ? Ten minutes at 200C sorts most, if even only for a short while.
Don't trust the oven though - I use a clip thermometer and when the reading is 200C, I place the SSB middle shelf, turn temperature to zero but leave the internal fan running. After 10 minutes, temperature down to about 140C.
Haven't yet had an initial failure, but it doesn't always last - Chris.

hi mark
have you checked voltage to dish from tv lnb connection if no volts it should be easy to trace back to its source

Hi if you read the post he connected a external Freesat box so the dish etc is working

There will be a 13 - 15 volt output on the sat tuner, make sure that is presant.

hi sparky
just a reminder that voltage should be fed from tv lnb connection ,a seperate freesat box only confirms lnb is ok
