Hi folks,
Had one recently, where after a year it returned for more back light issues. took the screen off - All Leds OK.
Reassembled where after a few minutes the back light cut, sound continuing, but OK if turned off and on again, for ten minutes.
Thought use the W/S power supply at 35v per strip at 500 m/a max. Heating caused one of the two strips to die, sorted it to one Led where
10v was measured - Bit unlikely for a 3v Led.
Snipped it with cutters as you do, noticing that the +ve side wasn't initially soldered - Replaced.
Admit have never had at set before with that issue - Chris.

Which PSU is it Using, 17IPS ?

Hi - Ponty
PSU 17IPS11
Suspect an initial duff Led soldering issue, as have had so many where Leds go O/C or S/C, where one pad seems not to have been soldered initially, giving rise to excess voltage and heat issues - Just a thought as a technician - Chris.
