Title: HP pavilion a309 UK
Post by: Turnip on November 15, 2009,11:44:31
Hi Folks,

As this is a 'Anything else'  section, think to try your brains with a minor problem - if a suitable site exists, please advise.

Do a little customer computer fettling, and this one was as slow as me with EEPROMS.

Noticed that initially the hard drive had three sectors, one for repair, one for Windows and docs, the other, rather small, for perhaps nothing at all.

Wiped HD, Reloaded Windows Xp - approved by the man, but noticed that in 'Boot up' it offered two XP's. First functioned, second didn't, and gave advice that didn't seem at all useful.

Suspect a Bios problem - how to resolve ?

Sure someone will know - Chris.

Hi, and thanks Sparky,

Will check out that site, perhaps shouldn't have blanked that repair sector - ah well, will try revitalise next time, instead of slipping in my home XP disc for a quicky job.

  Learning curve, steepish - Chris.
