hi just wonderd if someone could help me out with something my friend has a hp pl4272n plasma tv which is from the us which i know it is ntsc and we are pal but they have a converter that makes it into pal What i want to know is when you put a ps3 into hdmi it finds it but if you put say sky hd init It just comes up no signal why is this as i thought hdmi was universal to all countrys and yes the sky box i set right 1080i the same as the ps3 :dubbio:

can the converter handle a interlaced source 1080i? what res is the ps3 running?

the convertor is only rgb she runs her sky box throw it no probs had it like that for 12month now its just her son put his ps3 on just the tv and it work on hdmi so she ask me if a sky hd box would work and i said i iam not 2 sure as i did not want her to go and get 1 and it would not work so thought i would ask on here It is just that i thought that hdmi was univesal
