Title: AOC L37W781B TV
Post by: Nelson on September 14, 2010,05:17:37
Hi all,
Thanks for letting me join your group. :sign0085:

In researching the net for an answer to my problem , I saw your group and wanted to seek your advice.
I have inherited a AOC L37W781B TV from my late father in law, but in setting it up to our exisiting equipment(DVD, X-Box etc) I have found that it showed sky tv once through the HDMI but doesn't show it again, until after a very long break, but then when it's turned off, it doesn't come back.

I use the 'source' button to select the HDMI I (where the sky hdmi is plugged into) and have changed the HDMI cable to a gold plated HDMI cable but to no avail. I remember my father in law having a similar problem but unfortunately I can not remember the outcome or have his existing leads. :33:

Does anybody have any ideas on solving this problem?  :41:

Hi Nelson,

Mulling over your thoughts, and thought to wait 'till folks who know whether an HDMI (gold plated or otherwise) input will auto-switch - know that scarts do, before they fall out due to weight of the cable.

Wait for the experts - Chris.

Hi,

Confess that I never had any HD anything 'till local tip came up with a 37"  Tesco Vestel with 2 x HD sockets. Then bought a new Sanyo incorporating 320 Gb Hard Drive and DVD Rec, so had some HD possibilities.

Found at telly switch on, the HDMI is first selected - Chris.

PS - Said Sanyo only has one tuner - so no usual dual PVR facilities that I enjoyed with a modest Vestel PVR - Merde, but it burns better than my old analogue Liteon that now craps 3 discs for every one successfully recorded - Ebay offers suggest this is normal with an old Liteon.
