Title: sony KV-14T1U Unable to change settings in service mode

I won a sony KV-14T1U on ebay ,got it home and used the service code which ends in you pressing the "remove teletext" button.I need to adjust the rgb left screen shift problem ,so.

So i have a list of options present

adjustment
16:9=off
system=uk
text=west
agc=50 00-63
pll=33 00-63

So i enter adjustments and see a list of things e.g ver size ,h.centre etc etc and the numbers in red show what they are set to ,out of a range of 00-63

But nothing on the remote or tv panel lets me change the values in this menu,only in the first menu screen does the + button change the values

So lots of ???????????????????????????

And i've wrote down all my settings,just in case i mucked up anything.

The model number of the remote is RM-836 .

Flash embedding doesn't seem to be working either

This uk/pal i tv will, for some reason, not allow you to change the settings in adjustments when you are feeding it a ntsc -j/u signal .So i plugged in a pal i games console and adjusted the h and v settings ,then went back and plugged in my ntsc-j console .
