Title: Acer LC2416 Analogue Monitor
Post by: Turnip on October 25, 2012,10:56:39
Hi folks,

Have one of these where monitor won't fire up - no led, but 5v present. Power is a FSP100-4F01, and inverter a TDK TBD292LF with 12 trannies. Both inverter fuses OK and no inverter short evident. PS caps look pristine and a bit of heat does now't. Checked S/by tact - OK  - All with computer input.

Any thoughts ? - Thanks, Chris.

Hi Jordan,

Thanks, nice one, will go check - Chris.

Later - Checked those caps - values near normal and ESR zero - suspect a 'main board' fault as MB 5v supply is OK but front led doesn't light, with or without signal input.

Hi Sabre,

Sorry took so long to reply, Replaced caps Jordan suggested and monitor booted up. Great picture for a while, then screen became de-focussed and also in slow motion - Screen, I thought - Merde.

Reason I reply today - Just booted it up again, and after a full day - still perfect.

Don't trust it though - Chris.
