See if there is any foreign object (eg coin) in the SD Card slot or if the connections inside the slot at the rear have been mutilated and are shorting.

If it has fans, one may be clogged up. If fans still not operating after cleaning, blame the A-Board.
Or as Jordan says, it could be the SC-Board. Or P-Board can also cause Code 10. Service manual points  the finger at A-Board, SC-Board, SS-Board and P-Board, but these codes are not to be taken as gospel, as I've found out on a few occasions.

Yea I've looked at the service manual, and looking at changin. The SS board, I'll attach the info from Panasoni. Now.
"On bench fault seen shuts down 10 flashes S/C on SS PCB also SC PCB has to be disconnected for VSUS to come up. Will est. for both boards SS PCB TXNSS1LNUC"

Well Simi, here a Code 10 troubleshooting chart for you to digest.

Ah ha, so it was Flash Jordan who brought up IC9801. Now I know he's a clever dick and has my admiration, but IC9801 provides 5V and 1.2V from the F15V supply, and I doubt your problem lies there. May have to eat those words yet.

My first port of call would be the SC board, even though no short may be apparent across connector SC2. F15V is fed to this board, and most cases of code 10 that I've had have involved the SC board.

Carry out the test in the attachment to determine if the SC board is to blame. Make sure you short out the 2 pins of socket SC50. A small crocodile clip will do. And we'll proceed from there.

Don't worry that the attachment refers to code 7. The end result should be the same.

How would I get one of those jigs?

There's no need to get one. It's merely a shorting link to connect the 2 pins in the white socket SC50. As I mentioned, you can achieve the same by clamping the 2 pins with a small alligator clip....or is it a crocodile clip....whatever.         Bruce

Still blinking 10 times with that test, but just incase it's rrelevant, there is a relay that clicks, 3 times quickly then another once after about 2 seconds

OK, well that rules out SC, SU, SD boards. See if the error code changes if you disconnect the SS board from the power supply and turn it on. Might be best if you also disconnect it from the SC board. So remove connectors SS3 and SS11 on the SS board and turn it on.

After that, only the P and A boards are left.              Bruce

I used the trouble shooting chart you give me before and with ss2 and ss11 unplugged when I done that it give me 7 blinks, so I replaced the SS board and with them 2 unplugged it's still giving me 10 blinks now, I followed the chart after that, but after unplugging p35 it asks if the tv stays on but with code 10 the tv doesn't come on at all...

Not sure if we're making any progress here. So you took the SS out of the equation and it gave code 7.
This is the error code for the SC (& SU or SD) but you say you've tested the SC using a shorting link on SC50. Did you lift SU and SD completely away from the SC - no need ( and not wise) to remove the flexies that go to the panel from SU/SD?
If you remove connector SC2 and reconnect all else, does it still give code 10. IF no, then I'd blame the SC. If it still gives code 10, then unplug A11 and power the tv on. If code 10 persists, I'd say A board faulty, otherwise the P board.        Bruce

Sorry, no Skype.......we're a tad antisocial in the colonies, lol. I have uploaded the service manual for you to "Plasma Service Manuals" in the download section of this forum.....a bit of light reading.

I'll also send direct to you some info on A board testing and the complex start-up sequence .....different models but same principles.... only cos I can't upload Microsoft Word docs to quuq.      Bruce

Hi Gilly, That's a curly one. Code 1 is an unknown SOS and does not point to a specific area at fault. Code 6 is a scan board SOS, usually the SC board but can also be the SS board. All you can do is check for a short across the 2 pins of connector SC1 both ways - normally 1 high and 1 low. If that checks OK check the SS board for shorted FETs/diodes.                                       Bruce
